About

Well, there’s not much to know, but I always go to this page first on other people’s blogs so I thought I should probably have one. Me!

I’m Katie, I’m a student (all over again, one degree wasn’t enough for me) and I own more DVDs than any one person can watch in a lifetime.  Still, I’m going to try .  Action, SciFi/Fantasy and Thriller movies are among my favourites, but I’ve got a real soft spot for musicals and can be persuaded to watch pretty much anything once.  Movies involving Johnny Depp, Dustin Hoffman, Steve Buscemi, Robert DeNiro, Chritian Bale or Heath Ledger will probably get my approval, anything involving Tom Cruise, Keira Knightley or Pierce Brosnan probably wont, but there are exceptions.

Anyhoo, this is a blog about that really.  If you disagree (or agree) with what I’m saying drop me a comment.  And if you think there’s any movies missing from either of my two list pages let me know and I’ll check them out.

If you want to get in touch with me about a meme or event or something else exciting you can get me on my brand new shiny email address: strmblog[AT]gmail.com

It’s like in the great stories, mister Frodo
The ones that really mattered
Full of darkness and danger they were
And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end
Because how could the end be happy
How could the world go back to the way it was
When so much bad had happened

But in the end, it’s only a passing thing
This shadow, even darkness must pass
A new day will come
And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer
Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something
Even if you were too small to understand why”

Think I'm talking gibberish? Have your say!

We’re running an Oscars sweeptsake at VoucherCOdes.co.uk (you can see it at http://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/competitions/oscar-predictions) which is just open to entertainment bloggers.

I thought it might be of interest and we would love to have you as an entrant.

Let me knwo your thoughts,

Thanks,

Nick Barber (Site Editor of VoucherCodes.co.uk)

There is a new Meme called “10 Movie Facts About Me” doing the rounds. Having ignored the previous couple I thought I would give this one a go. Here is the result . In typical chain-letter/viral traditions I am supposed to nominate five bloggers. You are one on the luck/unlucky (delete as applicable) five.

I need to check the comments on this page more often, sorry if you’ve felt ignored guys!

If you’ve got a soft spot for musicals, please tell me you enjoyed “Nine” – I thought it was great; especially Daniel Day-Lewis.

I haven’t seen Nine yet but it does look really good.
