Hitting the pause button….
The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that I haven’t updated this site in about two months. First of all, thanks for paying enough attention to notice. You should probably go outside for a bit now so you can remember what daylight feels like.
There are many reasons for the lack of posts. Any of you crazy people who’ve been around a while may have noticed a pattern emerging and realised that March is Opera month. Which explains part of the reason that I have barely been in my flat let alone near my computer. (Today is a rare late start before the dress rehearsal)
I’ve also recently taken over my St John Ambulance unit and my end of preclinical medicine exams are looming on the horizon, so free time is a very unfamiliar thing to me at the moment. All this means that on the incredibly rare occasion I’ve had a chance to sit down and watch a movie in the last two months, I definitely haven’t had time to write anything about it.
I realise I’m an incredibly frustrating blogger. The fact that this site is still getting hits every day despite its neglect is lovely, and I figured since I actually had time to sit at my keyboard for five minutes I owed you an explanation. The opera goes up next week (if you’re in the London area come check it out. It’s a British premiere and well worth the shockingly cheap ticket price!) and after that I’m mostly in to revision with all the inevitable procrastination that comes with it. I’ve recently watched both Requiem for a Dream and Beetlejuice (which I know the Rosses are dying for me to write about) so there are posts in the pipeline. I just need a bit more time.
So I’m hitting the pause button for now. But I’m not deserting you. Thanks for your patience.
